How do you deal with stress: I love to go running through random places, whether I'm in Africa, China or back in the UK. I always find it helps me wind-down.
Your favourite place: Mayoka Village, Nkhata Bay on Lake Malawi. Probably the most relaxing place I have ever been to. It looks out over onto an amazing view of Lake Malawi, and as a bonus you can play the inmates of the local prison at football!
Your best day at quest so far? Probably the first time I went to Kenya with Quest Overseas back in 2006. We had just one day left to meet our deadline to finish the sand dam, so we worked a 14 hour day at the dam-site mixing over 100 bags of cement, even in the dark! And it was followed by a nice cold Tusker with the Quest team - couldn't ask for a better day!
Who makes you laugh? Recently I've been listening to the Adam and Joe podcasts - those guys are hilarious!
Last journey you took: I've been living in China for the last nine months, so I recently took a 3000km journey by train down to Yunnan Province in the south of China. The whole journey was epic - especially trekking Tiger Leaping Gorge.
Proudest moment at work: Probably the first time I led a Quest project. It were in Chitikale in Malawi, and for the first time the kids piled into their new classroom our team had just built, and they were just so happy you couldn't help but be proud of what we'd done as a team!
3 people you would like to have dinner with dead or alive? Chairman Mao, the Queen and Nelson Mandela. All for very different reasons!
