If you think you'd enjoy being out in the African Bush, but also want the chance to work with local communities then this could be for you. You will be carrying out valuable conservation work to ensure the long-term protection of wildlife in Swaziland. You will learn all about the African Bush and it's wildlife and will have the chance to work closely alongside giraffes, impala, rhino, elephants, hippos and lion. You will also complete a 3-day 'Game Ranger' training course, which you receive certification for. This project also works closely with local communities, from building classrooms for orphaned children to designing environmental education centres to teach children about the importance of conserving the wildlife around them.

Six weeks of activities through five different countries on our southern Africa expedition.

We have been running expeditions in these countries for over 8 years now and they never fail to blow us away! You will be trekking through the mountains of Swaziland, scuba diving in the fauna rich seas of the Mozambique channel, bridge swinging and white water river tubing in South Africa, spotting Botswana's abundant game on not one but four safari's, finally finishing the trip of a life time off by bungee-jumping at the 'smoke that thunders'!

in a nutshell

a truly amazing gap year experience

Spend six weeks carrying out conservation work in the Lubombo Conservancy and working with local communities in Swaziland. Then onto our six week Southern Africa adventure exploring the mountains of Swaziland, the oceans of Mozambique, the canyons of South Africa, the plains of Botswana and the torrent of Victoria Falls. Team sizes from 8 to 16.
