Join us on a once in a lifetime 10 week gap year expedition sampling the delights of a country like no other. We begin with 4 - 8 weeks spent working with a community conservation project in the Brazilian Amazon, before heading off on an action packed 6 week adventure exploring all corners of Brazil. If you're looking to combine worthwhile conservation work with a Brazilian adventure then this trip is for you.
Project Phase 4 weeks: Help us to protect the threatened Brazilian Amazon, by creating a sustainable eco-village for the communities that live there. An utterly unique experience taking you into the depths of the jungle. Within the reserve your help is required to build a much needed infrastructure, to meet local basic needs, such as education, healthcare and the provision of livelihoods, to assure the survival of this unique eco-system and the people who make it their home.
Explorer Phase 6 weeks: You'll spend 6 weeks travelling along the golden coast of Brazil and down towards Rio. You'll trek to the 2nd highest waterfall in South America, learn to surf on a 4 day instructed course, go white-water rafting, visit environmental protected zones teeming with wildlife, go river tubing and enjoy colonial cities. In Rio you'll spend a week taking in all this wonderful city has to offer, from the world famous Maracana football stadium to sugar loaf mountain and the Christ the Redeemer Statue looking out over Rio. You'll go hand gliding, dance the Samba and enjoy Rio's golden beaches. A spectacular journey through South America's most varied and friendly country.
