Kenya Summer Team Update
Well it’s our last few days here in Kenya and we are all chilling at Lake Naivasha after 4 weeks of hard work, with the completion of 4 dams and an extension. By far the best day on site was the dam we built in a day mixing 174 bags of cement by hand. We arrived at the site the night before and camped out under the stars. We were then able to start work before the sunrise and worked through the day until late afternoon. There was a great atmosphere with laughter, singing and dancing as we worked alongside 4 local community self help groups and all the staff from Excellent Development Kenya.

We left the village of Munathi last sunday after an amazing farewell party from the local self help group, who cooked up a feast!! All were sad to be going and saying good bye to a community that had welcomed us whole heartedly into their homes and into their lives.

We will be spending our last days in Nairobi celebrating the end of a wonderful 5 weeks of HARD work and fun with a meal at the world famous Carnivore restaurant.

Project and Expedition updates from the field - some to show the great work which is going on at our projects in South America and Africa, others just to make us jealous we're stuck here at home!
