  • malawi orphans & community project

In Malawi an estimated 560,000 children have lost their parents to AIDS, and each village community often supports over a hundred of these orphaned and vulnerable children. By volunteering and joining this project you can help these children get a better start in life. This project also offers the chance to relax on the shores of Lake Malawi, soaking up the sun next to the crystal waters.

    volunteer

help support the orphans of malawi

Your project work will help to provide food, shelter and education for orphans and vulnerable children as you construct and renovate crumbling classrooms and feeding centres - mixing cement, laying mud bricks, plastering and carrying water with the local community.  You will also have the opportunity to help in the feeding centres, preparing food and playing with the kids.  You'll be surrounded by shy smiles and big hugs!  The beauty of this project is the opportunity to experience the generosity of a Malawian welcome, work side-by-side with local youth groups and immerse yourself in rural Malawian life.
