Some of the most unique wild animal sanctuaries on the planet, the Inti Wara Yassi refuges in Bolivia have been striving to combine wild animal welfare and work with vulnerable children over the past 10 years. Animals confiscated and rescued from circuses and the pet trade are constantly arriving, so there is always need for more constructions to house them, as well as care and attention for those being prepared for release into the wild. Walk a puma, teach an eagle to fly again, introduce a monkey back into the wild and become part the most hands on wildlife project you are ever likely to encounter.
Your reward after the animal sanctuary project - but don't expect an easy ride! Trekking though five different climate and altitude zones, rafting down white water rapids, tearing through sand dunes on buggies, climbing glacial peaks, visiting cultures dating back hundreds and even thousands of years. An assault on the senses, with no two expeditions exactly the same, this gap year trip is a mixture of on and off the tourist trail. The Inca Trail is a must, anything else, you, your group and expedition leader will decide...

"I've been involved with a large number of volunteer organizations from around the world, and Quest stand head and shoulders above all of them, in terms of the huge attention they pay to developing relationships with their project organizations, their understanding of the context in which we work, and the potential volunteering offers the volunteers. Consequently they do an amazing job for both Inti Wara Yassi and their volunteers."
