Pumas, monkeys and jaguars, give them a new home, their real home

Some of the most unique wild animal sanctuaries on the planet, the Inti Wara Yassi refuges in Bolivia have been striving to combine wild animal welfare and work with vulnerable children over the past 10 years. Animals confiscated and rescued from circuses and the pet trade are constantly arriving, so there is always need for more constructions to house them. Spend time in the heart of the Amazon. Conditions are basic because we'll be working on improving the accommodation for both animals and volunteers! You'll be leaving a permanent mark on this project with your work though.

Ever walked your own puma?!

Another essential part of this project is to give the animals the care and attention they so desperately need. Some may be released back into the wild, other may need some sort of help for the rest of their lives. Either way, having your own animal to care for will help you forge a relationship like no other. Probably the most hands on animal welfare project in the world, this work brings out the best in the animals and the people which work on it.
