Get to know the friendly community of Babati in northern Tanzania, build schools and work with children on our community development project. Your volunteer work includes improving the educational facilities, building classrooms, libraries as well as lots of painting, plenty of games and informal teaching.
Schools in disrepair in the Babati region face closure without your help. Give the children of Babati the start they deserve. You will be renovating and building schools, classrooms and libraries as well as organising sports days and informal teaching in the local schools. The village community are friendly and welcoming and in desperate need of help. This is a unique opportunity to experience Tanzanian village life and directly help rural villages to improve the livelihoods and future of their children.
What better way to spend the weekends? Safari-ing in one of Africa's premier game parks, relaxing on the shores of Lake Babati or traveling deep into the bush to live with the Maasai. The weekends are a great chance to let your hair down, drop an email to friends and family or take a step back and reflect on what you have managed to complete and why you are doing it. The perfect end to a week of hard work.
Spend five weeks volunteering on our community development project in northern Tanzania, helping to improve educational facilities for the children of Babati. Work with the community on a shared goal. Starting a project from the foundation and don't leave till the roof is on! Earn your weekends of and enjoy Your Safari and time boat trips on the Lake you deserve them.
"An amazingly wonderful experience that I will remember for the rest of my life. I leave Africa with more friends and wonderful memories than I came with."
