Apolobamba Visit

Always doing our best to keep our teams on their toes, our expedition staff have been exploring new routes for our teams this year, and what a treat there is in store for them. Our once intrepid trekking routes have more recently become well trodden highways so it was time to head off the beaten track again.

These are just a few photos of a new route we are looking forward to including this year, in the northern section of the Apolobamba range in Bolivia. With nothing but ice, mountains and gold mining communities for miles, it really is an adventure in the true sense of the word.

This is Jon with local guide Pedro slap bang on the Peru – Bolivia border, not a border control office in sight to add to the passport stamp collection though, doh!
