Applying for a Project Quest Adventure
Our Project Quest teams involve a serious commitment to one of our project locations or expedition routes and as such, the application process is a thorough one. On receiving your application form from this website, we will then contact you to arrange an interview (generally held over video skype). We want to be sure that your commitment to our projects and expeditions is genuine and as such not everyone will be offered a place on our teams. If you are fortunate enough to be selected to join a Quest team, you can be sure that we will be committed to making every minute of your time overseas as challenging, rewarding and fun as it can possibly be. At the same time however, we do want to make sure that the projects we are supporting receive volunteers which want to put their all into the work. It’s not necessarily the case that we need a certain set of skills or experience from you, just the desire to get stuck in wherever needed.
Applications for our Project Quest teams start to come in as early as 18 months in advance, so you should consider applying as soon as possible to ensure availability. There are also discounts given for places confirmed well in advance, contact the office for more details on this. There have been occasions though where we have been able to take an application just a few weeks (or even days) before departure, so it is worth asking at short notice just in case.
So give some thought to the questions in the application. We will invite every applicant for interview to give you a chance to discuss what you really want to get out of your gap year or summer experience. This is a big commitment both for you and for us, and it’s as important for us as it should be for you that you do what is right for YOU going overseas – we look forward to meeting you!
