What are you doing on Sunday 15th April? Why not head down to the seaside for a spot of sunshine and a great day out…
Sunday 15th April 2012 is the third Brighton Marathon, where we’re very excited to have 8 fantastic runners raising money for Quest4Change. They’ll be joining around 15,000 other runners along the route, which takes in some of the best sights in the city including the Pavilion, Preston Park, and Brighton Pier. But running those 26 miles is going to be thirsty work…
We’d love you all to show your support for the Quest4Change runners on the day by helping man the Quest Water Station. For anyone who hasn’t been in Brighton for the marathon before, it’s a brilliant day with a fantastic atmosphere – and actually being a part of the UK’s “Second Marathon” makes it all the more special.
What are we asking you to commit to? Very simple: hand out water, pick up a few empty bottles and have a front row spot to cheer on the thousands of runners storming past. We are in charge of Mile 6, on the coast road overlooking Brighton Marina; a great position to enjoy the race, and because it’s early on, we should be finished by around midday. It does mean an early start (7am), but ask anyone who took part in it last year and they’ll tell you it’s worth it.
If you’d like to get involved, just click on this link and fill in your details to confirm your participation.
Make sure you type in the password QUEST and confirm you are part of the QUEST OVERSEAS team when they ask. We need 40 volunteers in total so please do spread the word!
