For our project partners in Kigali, Ubaka U Rwanda, this money will help buy land for a new home for the 30 ex-street children who live there. As rent of their current building is the greatest monthly cost; the independence of having their own building will give Ubaka more security to plan ahead for the boys.
Ubaka U Rwanda provides shelter, education and most importantly love to 30 ex-street children in Kigali. The life that these boys faced before was very tough, but Ubaka has turned life around for them, and the younger boys all now attend school, where they are doing well.
Donations must be made as soon after 10am as possible, before the matched funding for the day is spent and the challenge is paused. If you miss out today, don’t worry: you can still donate on Thursday and Friday and have your donations doubled. Donations after Friday 9th will still be gratefully received, but not matched.
