Tanzania team getting to grips with local culture

Quest News

Our intrepid team of ten Tanzania volunteers
have been settling into their new home and getting stuck into work around Babati,
since they arrived last week.

Except for a couple of upset stomachs here or there (rice and beans take a bit of getting used to!),
the team are getting on well and making excellent progress.  They are currently working very hard at
Managa Primary School, just outside Babati, improving the facilities there for
the children.  The team have so far been
renovating a school classroom, which previously has been laying unused due to
its state, and building staff toilets – not glamorous but very important!  The atmosphere in the community has been
extremely welcoming, with some of the children even welcoming the volunteers
back to their homes: a lovely and eye-opening experience for all!

Watch this space for further updates from
the team’s own mouth…
