The Villa Maria Ladies Bring home the Football fever!

Quest News

After two whole weeks of spanish lessons, the team enjoyed a weekend at the beach, and despite the rain, a good time was had by all, with lots of fresh seafood and a few drinks to wash it down.

The week was rounded off with a classic Quest vs teachers footbal match.  No matter where you go in the world the international language of football wins out!  We are told a full match report is on its way, but for those on the edge of their seat in anticipation, we can reveal that the final score was 10-8, advantage Quest ladies – Go girls!

And now, the team are heading off into the cloud forests of Santa Lucia for the weekend to explore and to visit an old Quest Overseas Project site.  Back in 2001, Quest Overseas began working with Rainforest Concern on community driven sustainable development, conservation and education projects.  After careful consideration with the local community and Rainforest Concern, it was decided that after four years and nearly £100,000 worth investments it was agreed that the formal partnership would cease.  And our Gap team are heading there now to check out the award winning community run eco-lodge, and to say hello to old friends.  You can learn more about our past (and current) work by having a look through our online Impact Report.
