Internet is not of the best quality in Malawi, so thanks very much for this note from our Malawi Gappers – sounds and looks like they’re having a whale of a time!
Update from Malawi Quest team in Nancholi, Blantyre:
So, we’ve been busy! Yesterday we organised a local sports day for the children… All I can say is that it was organised chaos! We had sack races, ball and spoon races and skipping ropes. It finished with some games of football and netball with the builders and drummers who also turned up. The kids enjoyed it so all in all it was a successful day!
The wall surrounding the centre is finished and plastered and Young, a local painter, is going to help us paint it soon. A lot of blood, sweat and tears have gone into building the wall and I think we all agree it was definitely worth it!
Aside from that we have just been helping out at Chimwewe centre making porridge for the children and have started on building the kitchen. We’re all very brown/burnt from spending long days down there!
Last weekend we went camping which was fun and has given us a taster of what exped will be like, which we are all really looking forward to.
Now we’re off to find some pizza in Blantyre now, we need a little break from nsema and rice!!!
Love from the Malawi team!x
